Ms. Mueller resides on Jekyll Island, Georgia with her husband Michael and two cats, Jasper and Sukey Spice. She was raised in Oregon and graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She worked as a flight attendant for Pan American Airlines before marrying and moving to Mexico City, where she lived for eighteen years, teaching English, modeling and acting. After returning to the United States, Pamela worked for twelve years as a U.S. Customs Inspector. She served six years in San Diego and then was selected for a foreign assignment in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Ms. Bauer Mueller took an early retirement from the U.S. Customs Service to become a full-time author. She and her Mexican cat, Kiska, wrote The Kiska Trilogy: The Bumpedy Road, Rain City Cats and Eight Paws to Georgia, which encompassed their adventurous living in Mexico, Canada and the United States. Several years ago, Pamela’s daughter decided to raise a guide dog puppy, and Pamela eventually depicted this sweet love journey in Hello, Goodbye, I Love You: The Story of Aloha, A Guide Dog for the Blind, which was later selected as a 2004 Children’s Choice Book and a 2008 Mom’s Choice. The sequel is entitled Aloha Crossing and follows Aloha’s life in Georgia, with Diego, the puppy-raiser, being reunited with his dog.

Pamela has dreamed of introducing her readers to the history of Georgia’s Golden Isles since moving to Georgia. She has now written two historical fiction books featuring local characters. Ms. Mueller was the 2006 Georgia Author of the Year -Children’s/Young Adult Literature, as well as a 2008 Mom’s Choice Award winner and a 2006 Independent Publisher Book Awards Finalist/ Multicultural Category for her first historical novel entitled Neptune’s Honor.

An Angry Drum Echoed: Mary Musgrove, Queen of the Creeks, is based on the true story of a Creek/Englishwoman who became an emissary and interpreter for General Oglethorpe when he landed in Savannah to found the colony of Georgia. Mary smoothed the path to cooperation between the Indians and the colonists, perhaps single-handedly insuring the survival of colonial Georgia. This title was recently selected as a finalist in the 2007 USA News Best Book Awards/Multicultural and won the 2008 GA Author of the Year award for Ms. Mueller.

2008 Georgia Author of the Year Pamela Bauer Mueller brings valuable messages about relationships, love, loyalty and acceptance to school groups and civic organizations. Ms. Mueller does considerable research before writing her middle reader/young adult novels. After a brief tour in the Navy Reserves I served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in the Midwest.  In November of 68 I married Patsy, from South Carolina.  We have 5 children; Jeffrey, Stacey, Paul, Jared, and Lyndsey, and 5 grandchildren with another due in January.  Over the years we’ve enjoyed living in Utah, California, Germany, Colorado, and Arizona.  In 1992 my birth father adopted me; I now go by David Weber although I share a common heritage and much love and respect for the Bragg family.  I’ve worked in electronics my whole life building, teaching, selling, repairing, and designing everything from spa controllers, television cameras and x-ray systems to high speed cameras and lasers.  I currently work on x-ray systems.  My wife works for an airline as a reservation agent.  We enjoy traveling, mostly to visit family with an occasional cruise or trip to Europe thrown in.  Our hobbies include; shopping, eating out, riding the motor bike, snorkeling, traveling, and exploring.

Sorry I didn't make it to the 45th reunion! Had I been a more attentive friend to one of my high school "buds" I probably would have been there. Sounds like it was a blast! God willing and the creek don't rise, I'll make it to the 50th. Forty-five years...where has the time gone? So, after high school I went to the U of O majoring in theater and ending up graduating with a BA in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Reason kicked in in my Junior year. During those four years, I spent 6 mos. in Western Europe exploring the angst of young adulthood and a summer in San Francisco trying to be a flower child but exiting unceremoniously after ending up in the hospital with a case of food poisoning from my own cooking. Amazing how some things never change. Ask my children.

I spent a year traveling around the Rocky Mountain States supposedly working on a grant but doing more skiing than working. Entering Colorado State University's Speech Path. program on probation I ended up in June of '70 with a Master's degree and a husband. My first son, Christopher, was born in Denver. When he was three we moved to Toronto, Canada where he learned french and I had another baby, Joseph. In 1977 we moved to Pittsburgh, PA. Contrary to popular belief, it is a beautiful city. Even now I can say whole-heartily, "GO STEELERS!!" My husband and I divorced in 1981 and my mother came to live with us in 1986. I was divorced from my second husband about that same time. For those of you who are asking, yes, I think Mom had something to do with it. However, it was probably a good thing. Anyway, after my sons both graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and moved to California, there was no way Mom and I were staying in Pittsburgh - it isn't THAT pretty! I moved us to San Mateo, CA in 1996. For a while I worked as a Speech Pathologist in skilled nursing facilities but burned out and took a five year vacation working in an industrial embroidery shop in San Carlos. Loved the work but it didn't pay the rent so I went back to school and graduated with another Masters in Special Ed. Mom passed away in 2003 at the age of 99, the same year I graduated. I had been working for the San Carlos School District as a Resource Specialist and love the job! But, my heart was further north.

My stepmother and family own The Trees of Mystery in Klamath, CA. I had remained close to them and I LOVE the area. In 2004, I moved to Crescent City, CA, and was hired by the Del Norte County School District as the Infant Specialist. I work with babies and families and live in one of the most beautiful spots on the CA coast. Life is wonderful!!

My son, Chris, is 37 and is a professor of animation at The College of Santa Monica. He has worked for Spielberg and was the lead animator for the South Park Feature Movie, A Musical. My son Joe, 33, is an actor, currently most well known for the Bud Light commercial, "A Night at the Opera". He is the one with the exploding beer bottles in his coat. Please, visit his website at joefria.com. Chris is married to a Bulgarian Beauty, Agi, who an artist in her own right and the voice of "Charlotte" on the Nickelodeon series, "Making Fiends". I'm not a grandmother yet and may not make it in this life, but hope lives eternal.

In my spare time, I teach T'ai Chi Chih and am a Lay Speaker for my church. I have two wonderfully neurotic rescue dogs and am a member of a radical book club whose members include my minister (a woman), a Jewish lawyer (also a woman), a Buddhist and her Methodist sister (both of whom began life as Catholics), and the organist at our church. Incredible ladies!!

Someone actually liked my poetry enough to publish it - three times. My volunteer activities include the local Kiwanis Club (President, 2007-2008) and as a board member of our local CASA.  And, of course, I revel in the ability (on any given day) to hike among giant redwoods and along photographically perfect shorelines - all in the same hike!

I may retire....someday. In the meantime, if you are ever in the area, let me know. My first love is showing off this incredibly beautiful area that I am blessed to call my home. I may even be able to get you a free pass on the Sky Trail at the Trees. Now there is an offer you can't possibly refuse!!

Sandra Buckner NAPOLIGropp@aol.com

As follows is a brief summary of my past forty five years. After completion of a Baccalaureate of Science Degree at Oregon Institute of Technology I moved to Pendleton, Oregon to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  In 1989 I moved to Redding, California to continue my career and purchased a home.  After working in the dental field for twenty two years I was injured on the job and after having had two surgeries on my right arm I was forced to retire.  A majority of my time is spent enjoying the beauty of a variety of plants in my garden and tending to my seventy five rose bushes.  Other hobbies I enjoy are oil painting, and cross country skiing.  In August of 2000 my father past away after a battle of cancer and I continue to visit my mother, who still resides in the Klamath Falls area.  My plans are to enjoy my retirement by maintaining my home and garden.

Don Christy k.christy@comcast.net

Don retired from his accounting practice in Jan. 07.  He is still living in Portland.  He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Kathy Luse, for 42 years.  He likes traveling, camping, crossword puzzles, and being glad he is retired.  His favorite adventure was watching a space shuttle lift-off at Kennedy Space Center.

Diana (Cook) Moore moo718@charter.net

I attended KU for my last 2 yrs of high school.  After graduation I stuck around and landed a job at the Post Office in June of 64.

I left for Oakland Ca that same year to marry a classmate from KU.  Bob Dilday was in the Navy and our first child was born at Oak Knoll  Naval Hospital.  The following Dec. when Bob got out of the Navy we moved to Salem.  Soon after returned to Klamath Falls.

I resumed my job at the Post Office and we added two more to the family, Shannon and Shawna.  In 1973 we divorced and I married another Bob the following year.  I learned a lot that next year and was again single in 1975.  Never say never!  You never know when God has better plans for you.  Jerry Moore and I were married in 1978 and happy to say “Things couldn’t be better!”  Once again the family grew when Janeen joined us 2 yrs later.  We also had a baby boy 3 yrs after that.  Russell graduated to heaven the next day.

I retired from the Post Office after 35 years and highly recommend retirement.  Jerry worked at Weyerheauser  after returning home from Vietnam until the saw mill shut down.  Now he is pumping that high priced fuel and biding his time till he can also retire.

Am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Kayce and Grover Dahn P O Box 666, Dubois, WY 82513, 307-455-3222  gkdah@yahoo.com

We have three grown children, Greg, Kelli and Kristi. They have been generous and have given us 9 grandchildren ranging in age from 3 to 22. Greg lives in Eugene and Kristi lives in Newberg. Kelli followed us to Wyoming after living in Ireland for 2 years. We moved to Wyoming in 1996 to begin our mid-life adventure. Grover retired from law and we purchased a large Outfitting business. ( We ran summer rides and fishing trips out of Teton Park and winter hunting trips , all on horseback). This led to the purchase of a hay-growing ranch for feed and winter range. What a shock! This was as far from office work as you can get. Needless to say we really did have an adventure. We wore ourselves out and started selling things off in 2005. We just sold our last hunting camp last year and have now settled into a 4 day a week law office with short hours.  We love having something to do, but not killing ourselves over it. We go as often as we can to our second home in Las Vegas, especially in the winter. Tell everyone hi from us. God willing we will make the 50th.

I enjoyed looking at the website and enclose the following for posting:

I attended the University of Oregon after KU and received a B.S. in journalism and an ROTC commission into the Army, with my service in 1968-69 primarily in the information office at Ft. Carson, Colo. (for reasons known only to those -- if any -- who understand military procurement, only one member of my Transportation Officer training class was sent to Vietnam).  I worked as a reporter at the Salem Capitol-Journal, Eugene Register-Guard and Salem Statesman and was editor at the LaGrande Observer and Bend Bulletin before finally settling in at The Oregonian.  I started there on the copy desk, eventually serving as chief of the copy desk and an assistant news editor, then served as the editor of the Forum section (op-ed pages) in editorial for 12 years.  Changes in management led me to move out of editorial and into newsroom computer support until retirement in 2007.  I married Janice Smith from LaGrande in 1975 and we have two children: Heather, now an associate with the law firm of Covington and Burling in Washington, D.C., and Grant, a software engineer with HP in San Diego.  We have lived in the Aloha area between Beaverton and Hillsboro since 1980.  I can be contacted by e-mail through the website www.gdavis.us, which I had great plans to expand upon retirement but have so far neglected in favor of just doing a whole lot of nothing much.

Mary Lacey Dixon Murray mmurray@longfellowlaw.net

I will not be able to attend the reunion this year, but I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with news of those classmates who have provided some updates on their lives.  For myself, I graduated from OSU in 1967 and moved to Arizona in 1971, where I met my husband Bob (University of Iowa, 1968).  We were married in 1975 and have lived in Scottsdale, Arizona ever since.  Our son Mike and his wife, Anna, live rural northern California (Orland), and Mike works in computer system security at Chico State University.  We have four grandchildren, who have captured our hearts and light our life (even at the too great distance): Chantell (20, and just married!); Dixon (13); Colin (9), and Ruby (5).  Bob worked for many years as a graphic artist, and now he concentrates on fine art.  I work as a paralegal for a small business and real estate law firm in Scottsdale, with no eye to retirement.  Bob and I like get outdoors to hike, bike and run.  We also enjoy art, music and movies, and all types of spectator sports (football, hockey, auto racing).

Although Arizona has been good to us over these past 37 years, I will tell you that there is not a day that passes without my missing Oregon, and in particular, my hometown, Klamath Falls.  (There is no water like Klamath water!!!)  Have a great time together at the reunion, and please feel free to get in touch with me by email or phone at 480-860-0535!

Retred in the year 2000 from Les Schwab. We've lived in Dallas, Oregon for 28 years now. One son 38 and one daughter 36. We enjoy traveling here and abroad. We volunteer with the Red Cross assisting on disasters as needed. ATVing is another activity we enjoy; along with camping. I still own a motorcycle and travel with my son on week-long trips. We stay active in hopes that we will stay young (at heart, anyway). I have been married for over 42 years to my beautiful wife, Linda.
